It’s never too early to start planning your weekend, after all, you need something to look forward to in your busy week. Luckily for us, there are some amazing events going on across Dubai and Abu Dhabi so there’s no excuse to vegetate on your sofa all weekend. Here’s our pick of the best events for you to get involved in.

Calling all food lovers, this one’s for you. Get ready for 3 days of food glorious food. With the city’s hottest restaurants, live cooking shows featuring world-class celebrity chefs, an incredible line-up of international music, and shopping spots this is a great way to spend your weekend. Plus it’s made even better as we’re going to be there along with some of our favourite merchants. Make sure to come and say hi to us and Tips & Toes, POParrazzi’s, Wild Wadi and Holland House Mini Pancakes.

Dubai Sky Carnival

Where: Kite Beach

When: March 10-11

Round up the kids, settle down and get comfy with your toes in the sand as you watch hundreds of kites swoop and dive above you transforming Kite Beach into a sea of colour. Of course you, and your little ones, are going to need some food to fuel your day and luckily Kite Beach is full of delicious options. We love BRGR for one of the best (yep, you guessed it!) burgers in town and Dessert Island for yummy ice-cream sundaes. If you really want to earn the parent of the year award then make your kid’s day even more amazing by taking them to the really cool Wire World Adventure Parks Kite Beach.

Bryan Adams

Where: Autism Rocks Arena

When: March 9

»Everything I do, I do it for youuuuuuu». Yep, we all know this 1991 classic tune (who else just felt incredibly old just then?) and we couldn’t be more excited that rocker Bryan Adams is in town. Of course, all that dancing and partying like it’s the Summer of 69 is going to need lots of energy so it’s only right you power up with a few carbs! So, make a pitstop at Carluccio’s in City Centre Mirdiff—famous for their wood-fired pizza and other Italian delights.

Holi Carnival

Where: The Rugby Park, Dubai Sports City.

When: March 10

Known as ‘The Festival of Colours’, this event is a daylong carnival where you can munch on delicious food from the best food trucks, bob along to live music from local Djs, and browse the many shopping stalls. How about treating yourselves to a traditional roast dinner at nearby Reddy Roast, now open in the heart of Dubai Sports City? Because everyone needs to feed their belly with a homely roast dinner at the weekend.

UAE JET SKI RACE- Heat 2

Where: Abu Dhabi Corniche

When: March 9-10

Only in the UAE do you get to witness a Jet Ski Race! With an international line-up of more than 80 racers battling it out on an exciting race course set between the Corniche and the Breakwater, this is one adrenaline-fuelled competition you won’t want to miss! Plus you could even pop along to nearby Johnny Rockets for a slap up American feast making your day out even more fun… And filling.

Remember you can use your ENTERTAINER nearby at all of these events so you can really make a day out of it! Have a great weekend everyone!
