Sunshine And Sea Air: 5 Ways To Spend This Weekend

Have you felt it yet? The breeze has started to drop ever so slightly, the temperature has started to rise day by day and the evenings are starting to feel a little stickier? Yep, I hate to say it but summer is coming. Dun Dun Dun. So, we need to make the most of the last few weeks of winter whilst we still can which is why this weekend should be dedicated to sunbathing, beachside views, and outdoor dining. Check out our top spots to do all of the above this weekend.

Breakfast: Zero Gravity

Zero Gravity is known to be one of the busiest places in Dubai on the weekends and is full of people looking for that all day party from about 11 am onwards. But there is a way to enjoy a little window of peace in the stunning surroundings of Zero Gravity before the party-goers have risen from their beds. Breakfast! That’s right, Zero Gravity do a mean breakfast full of yummy delights such as Buttermilk Pancakes, Croque-monsieur and Frittatas. Make sure to get down there early, enjoy the beachside views, and watch as the skydivers swoop and swirl above you. This is the perfect way to kick your weekend off.

Pool & Beach Day: Sheraton

If you’re looking to catch some rays, have a swim, or treat the family to a day out in the gorgeous Dubai sunshine, then a pool and beach pass to the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort is your answer. This five-star luxury beach resort is one of Dubai’s favourite beach spots and is the ultimate paradise. With superb relaxation and leisure facilities set in the middle of 10,000 square meters of landscaped gardens shaded by palm trees, this is utter bliss! Plus, if you need to cool down then you can easily pop out and grab yourself a well-deserved ice cream from one of our nearby favourites, The Ice Factory.

Road Trip: Saadiyat Beach Club

If you’re up for a road trip this weekend then how about visiting the king of all beach clubs and a haven from your usual busy schedule, Saadiyat Beach Club in Abu Dhabi? This exclusive club nestled away on the island of Saadiyat boasts out of this world luxury, top service, and beautiful natural surroundings which will make you feel like a VIP. Built on a 39,500-square-metre site along the shores of the Arabian Gulf, this private beach club is your place to bask in the sun, take a dip in the stunning pool and treat yourself to a tasty bite at one of the signature restaurants. A true treat in every sense.

Free Beach Day

Head down to one of Dubai’s many gorgeous free beaches, set your towel and umbrella up for the day, and dive into that book you’ve been meaning to read for ages. If you start to feel peckish (sunbathing is hungry work!) but don’t want to move from your comfy spot then we’re going to let you in on a little secret. Just open your Delivery tab on your App and order whatever takes your fancy. If you’re after something healthy then order from GoPlated, or if a cheat day is on the cards then a yummy burger is on your mind then how about CaliBurger? Or if you really want to be traditional then go all out and order fish and chips from The Fish & Chips Room or London Fish & Chips.

Dinner: The Noodle House

If all that sunshine and beach air gets a bit much for you but you still fancy a lovely outside spot for a bite to eat then how about heading to The Noodle House in Souk Madinat for an Asian feast? We were luckily enough to go along to meet the incredible chef Jonathan Evans who showed us how they make one of their most popular dishes, the Black Pepper Beef. Check it out and then book your table ASAP!

Remember all of these options are available in your ENTERTAINER!

So, who’s ready for another cracking good weekend?
