Famous for its vibrant nightlife and Geordie accent, Newcastle upon Tyne needs no introduction.

It might be one of the UK’s smallest cities, but don’t be fooled, Newcastle has everything: history, culture, heritage, shopping and nightlife. And what’s more, you can walk across the entire city in just 15 minutes!

Labelled the ‘heart of the North’ by tourists and locals alike, Newcastle welcomes everyone with open arms. So, pick up your dancing shoes, because this city never sleeps!

Signor Prosecco

Relax by the riverside and enjoy a glass of bubbly at Signor Prosecco, Newcastle’s first Prosecco bar, ideally located on the famous Tyne’s Quayside. A light Cicchetti menu (small Italian dishes for sharing) is available if you’re feeling peckish.

Or, if you’re hungry for Prosecco, book your table for the bottomless Prosecco night on the last Friday of every month, from 9pm till close.

The Merchants Tavern

Looking for that cosy British pub feel after a long day’s sightseeing? Take a seat at The Merchant’s Tavern and enjoy the finest British grub (did someone say… Sunday Roast?). All food is sourced locally from foragers, local farmers and fishermen and is guaranteed to taste delicious.

From the outdoor seating area, you can see breathtaking views of St Peter’s Basin Marina, the perfect place for a group pic or cheeky selfie.

Longhorns Barbecue Smokehouse

The Longhorns Barbecue Smokehouse is Newcastle’s answer to a Texas BBQ. Everything about this venue is authentic; from the smoking of the meat to the making of the sauces. What’s more, everything is locally sourced and made fresh daily. A real crowd pleaser, for all the family.

Laneway & Co

Nothing beats the smell of coffee in the morning. And nothing compliments coffee more than a freshly baked pasty. Well, you can find both of these as well as made-to-order salads and sourdough sandwiches at Laneway & Co.

Just a stone’s throw away from the City centre, Laneway & Co is the perfect place to indulge in an espresso. Or, If you’re in a hurry, order your espresso to take away.

Hei Hei

You can’t leave Newcastle without paying a visit to Hei Hei; Britain’s favourite Chinese restaurant in the North East.

Famous for it’s Sichuan cuisine, originating from the Sichuan province in southwestern China, Hei Hei has received glowing reviews from the likes of The Secret Diner, Evening Chronicle and The Metro. Don’t be disappointed, make sure to book your table well in advance!
