An Expat Abroad: My Favourite Activities Using the ENTERTAINER

Living and dining out in the UAE can be expensive unless of course, you are using your ENTERTAINER then all your recreation and relaxation activities become so much more affordable. Having lived in Abu Dhabi for nearly eight years I’ve seen lots of changes. There are so many new hotels, restaurants, spas and activities to try and the ENTERTAINER gives you every reason to try these new places and experiences.

Here are my top 5 things to do in Abu Dhabi using my ENTERTAINER.

Afternoon Tea at Majlis Rosewood Abu Dhabi

Less creativity and more tradition is my benchmark for a good afternoon tea. If there are crustless finger sandwiches with classic fillings and freshly baked scones I’m a happy expat. The charming Rosewood Hotel in Abu Dhabi oozes sophistication from every pore. It may be relatively new with a modern design but it has a timeless elegance which adds to its appeal and resonates through every outlet. Afternoon tea is served daily in the Majlis Lobby Lounge. I love the chic and comfortable grand living room that’s bathed in natural light and its floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a stunning backdrop across the water.

De’Vine Friday Brunch at Market Kitchen (available in your Abu Dhabi Monthly Offers 2017 for March)

I’m a big fan of the table brunch concept, my favourite being the unique and unpretentious De’Vine Friday Brunch at the awarding winning Market Kitchen located at the Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi. American cuisine with touches of Asian influences, Market Kitchen uses locally produced fresh ingredients and the restaurant’s  ‘Farm to Table’ approach means the menu changes on a weekly basis which keeps things interesting. Free-flowing drinks, signature dishes, delicious desserts and live music keep diners coming back for more.

Balinese Massage at Remede Spa, St Regis

Lavish surroundings, fantastic amenities and a confident professional therapist who delivers result driven treatments—what more could you ask for when experiencing a massage? Alongside a menu of signature massages and facials, Remède Spa offers an array of treatments from their trademark spa packages and locally inspired Elemis therapies featuring techniques and ingredients characteristic to the region’s distinctive traditions. The stunning spa, with its touch of classic old-world charm, is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the fabulous facilities post treatment.

Day pass to Saadiyat Beach Club

Location, location, location is what draws people to this luxurious spot on Saadiyat Island. It’s true that from the moment you enter through the oversized door and glimpse the sensational blue infinity pool you know it’s a special place. What will guarantee your repeat visits, besides the obvious opportunity to relax in spectacular fashion, is the fabulous beachside location, cabana-lined pool area, outdoor dining and the diversity and variety of food.

Italian dinner at Circo

I love Italian food and I love Circo Abu Dhabi located at the Intercontinental Hotel—five-star fare served in an old-style European circus tent. One thing is certain, this may appear to be a themed restaurant but you need to look past the garish colour scheme because there is absolutely no clowning about when it comes to the food and service. The food is delicious and words can’t express the amazing standard of Circo’s mouth-watering menu, with the freshest ingredients and dynamic flavour combinations, a twist on traditional Tuscan cuisine.
