We’re @thepinktarha, an online lifestyle guide to making the best out of your life in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We write about food, travel, beauty, things to do (and how to do them), events and shopping guides. We’ve been online since 2009 and have won a several awards through the years. If you followed us on Instagram, you’ll see where we’ve been hanging out in the city, where the new food trends are at, and basically what’s new and happening in Riyadh – especially from our live updates on Instagram stories.
What are three things you love to do in Riyadh?
Taking a note out of our mantra, we love doing something NEW every day. So that’s the one thing that inspires every thing we do. In a city like Riyadh, your sense of adventure and curiosity should never falter. We definitely love visiting new restaurants, travelling and discovering new places, and of course…shopping!
We follow a lot of Instagram accounts in Riyadh and it’s hard to choose. On top of our list though is @destinationryd. They have the insider’s info when it comes to the local scene.
We like @ted.s_excellent_adventure because of his sense of adventure and witty captions. We also follow @laviriyadh. She shares gorgeous photos of her travels and experiences in Saudi Arabia.
What challenges do you face as a lifestyle blogger in Riyadh?
The most recent challenge we’ve faced are the impostors. There are other blogs out there who are copying our content and posing it as their own – which is really frustrating because we work hard at creating original content for our followers. We’ve faced problems with those creating fake accounts or using our photos without our consent. Luckily, our followers are loyal and inform us about these accounts. Thanks for your support, guys!

Definitely the Food & Drink offers with a standard of buy one get one free. We’re two ladies in The Pink Tarha so that definitely works to our advantage. We enjoy the food of Horizon at Movenpick Hotel because it is very diverse, Al Bustan at InterContinental Riyadh for the lively atmosphere and flavours, and Russo’s New York Pizzeria as they serve the best pizzas in town! We can’t wait to see and explore Dirab Country Club.
