Here’s how to look after ourselves at home

Coronavirus has brought on some scary times, and with reports of new infections taking place every day, we need to look after ourselves and the people around us.

So apart from wearing protective surgical masks, applying hand sanitiser, washing our hands every chance we get and avoiding the outside world as much as possible, here are a couple more steps you can take to get a health boost. Bonus points if you manage to get your quarantine buddy in on it. You know us at the ENTERTAINER, we love our 2-for-1s.

#1 Get a shot of vitamins

Nope, no injections necessary. With Coronavirus making its unwelcome appearance everywhere, now’s not the time to be risking a weakened immune system. At all times, we have to be in tip-top condition and what better way to do that than to get your much-needed dose of vitamins and minerals? Slurp down a fruit smoothie or go with a classic green juice. They’re easy to make at home! Vitamins never tasted this good. BURP.

#2 Love your veggies

There’s no power like veggie power. A natural source of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, veggies are going to be your best friend in boosting that immune system of yours, giving you added insurance against Coronavirus and its effects. Grab a huge bowl of greens for lunch, customising it however you like to make things a little more interesting (add a bit of feta, it adds life to a boring salad).

#3 Get enough rest

Taking care of your health isn’t just about what you eat and drink – it’s also about getting enough rest and relaxation. We know home pampering isn’t quite the same as going to your favourite luxurious spa, but taking some me-time away from your crazy family and making yourself feel great, will do you a world of good.

#4 Tea up and detox

Tea’s got all kinds of things going for it. It’s full of antioxidants and protective qualities from diseases like cancer and heart issues. Tea is the best ingredient for anybody who needs an instant health boost. Plus, you’ve got all sorts of yummy flavours to choose from. Enjoy the benefits of tea at home, any time of day and you can even chuck in some ice and have a refreshing iced tea. Variety is the spice of life!

That’s all folks. So, while you’re doing everything you can to keep Coronavirus at bay, don’t forget to look at your nutrition and make sure you’re staying happy, healthy and cosy indoors!
