Jazz, Beer & Easter Eggs: What’s On In Cape Town This Weekend

31 March – 2 April: Cape Town International Jazz Festival

Music lovers unite! This weekend we welcome one of the most iconic jazz events in the world to the shores of Cape Town. Get down to the CTICC for the best in African and international acts, and follow up a day of sweet, sweet music with dinner at True Italic. It’s just across the road from all the action.

1 April: Fools & Fans Beer Festival

Why not take a trip out of the city for a change? The little town of Greyton is playing host to the inaugural Fools & Fans Beer Festival on Saturday, and it’s set to be a treat. On the way, stop in at the famous Peregrine Farm Stall for Springbok pies… and maybe an Everson’s Cider tasting.

2 April: Easter Fun Day

Keep the kiddies entertained at De Waal Park this Sunday for just R50. There’s going to be an Easter egg hunt, face painting, a magician, and a fire engine ride. The best part is that the funds raised will be poured back into the community. The other best part is that parents are free 🙂

2 April: Kirstenbosch Summer Sunsets Concert

This week, local legends Shortstraw and Al Bairre take the stage for the last Summer Sunsets concert of the season. An extra reason to go? It’s Al Bairre’s last show of all time, you guys! I’ll be drowning my sorrows in pasta at Basilico afterwards.

Who’s ready for a cracking good weekend? Bring it on, April.
