Whisky And A Show: Get Out And Explore Cape Town This Weekend

Netflix and chill is usually all I need to guarantee the perfect weekend. But man, we live in such an exciting, cultural city – sometimes it’s necessary to get out and explore a bit. So, without further ado, here’s what’s going on in Cape Town this weekend.

Ends 8 April: Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

This world-renowned production has been running at the Theatre on The Bay for the last few weeks, and it ends on Saturday night. Make sure you don’t miss it – Andrew Lloyd Webber knows how to put on an incredible show (and it’s family-friendly, too). Head down the road to The Raj for a feast afterwards and your weekend will be made.

6 – 8 April: Whisky Live

If you’re into whisky (or, like me, really trying to be) then this event will make all your Scotch-soaked dreams come true. Whisky Live brings together a wide range of luxury whiskies under one roof, and you get to taste them all. It goes without saying that you should probably line your stomach first… perhaps at Mondiall, which is conveniently around the corner.

8 April: Autumn Beer Festival

The ever-awesome Jack Black Brewing Company has recently opened the doors of their new brewery in the heart of Diep River. This Saturday, they’re hosting an inaugural beer fest that will showcase not only their brew, but that of 8 other breweries too. Seems like the perfect opportunity for a vist, methinks.

9 April: Sunday Sunset Clifton Beach Yoga

“A Sunday well spent brings a week of content” – which is a pretty great reason to join The Om Revolution for an evening of yoga at Clifton 3rd. The class is just R50 and promises to leave you ready to tackle the week ahead. For an added dose of zen, I’d recommended a visit to the nearby O Spa on your way to the beach. I’ve got my eye on that Intuitive Herbal Oil Massage…

So, are you ready to explore Cape Town this weekend? I’d love to hear what you guys get up to 🙂
