Get Your Running Shoes On!

The weather is now officially gorgeous! So, why on earth would you spend your days pounding the treadmill when you could be outside in the fresh air. Go on, grab your trainers and test out these top running routes here in Dubai.

Al Ittihad Park

Al Ittihad Park located on The Golden Mile and starting under The Palm Monorail is a great running route for those with children. Take your baby along in his or her’s pram and have a nice jog along the 3.2km palm tree-lined track and then tone up with the exercise equipment dotted along the way. Better still there’s a kid’s play area so once you’ve had your fun on the pavements your little one can be rewarded for being patient with some play time.

Jumeirah Beach Corniche

A runners paradise along one of Dubai’s most iconic (and longest!) walkways. Take in 14km of sea air starting from Dubai Marine Beach Resort and continuing on to the Burj Al Arab Hotel. You could even celebrate your run with some delicious Holland House Mini Pancakes. Well, life is all about balance, right?

The Marina

Whether it’s the super yachts, the roller skaters, or the cyclists there is always something to look at on this route. There’s such a great vibe here that even when you’re continually trying to catch your breath and not faint you can’t help but feel a little smug that this is where you call home.

Dubai Creek Park

One of the oldest and most popular parks in Dubai, Dubai Creek Park is approximately 4km long and offers a sanctuary in busy Dubai. Run with the smell of fresh flowers and cut grass with the amazing Dubai skyline as your postcard-worthy backdrop. You could even stop and have a BBQ at the end.

Burj Park

A 5km running route which loops around Downtown Dubai, Burj Park has unobstructed views of Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountains making it one gorgeous running route. The best thing? You can pop and do a bit of shopping afterwards, watch the fountains dance, or catch a spot of dinner.

Al Barsha

You’re bound to have heard of the new craze, the HIIT workout. Known for short sharp bursts of intense activity Al Barsha park is the perfect place to get some HIIT practice in. The short spongy track is marked every 100 metres meaning you can get your short sprints done and dusted in no time.

Black Palace Beach

If you really want to challenge yourself then head to Black Palace Beach where you can pound the sand and really work those legs. Head there nice and early whilst it’s cool and run with The Palm Jumeirah as your view.

Go on, get out there and get that heart pumping! You’ll be grateful you did when you get invited to that winter boat party!
