Burger Joys

Shop E, G/F De Fenwick, 42-50 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai
Are you a burger skeptic? We dare you to take a bite of a Burger Joys burger and not break out into a huge smile. Each element of the burger, from the patty, to the bun to the sauce brings nothing but joy to its diners, hence the name. Go on, treat yo’self and get a full meal: the Cajun fries pack a real punch! This hole-in-the-wall joint on Lockhart Road is open 24/7.

Honbo

6-7 Sun Street, Wan Chai
Tucked away on a quiet enclave in Wan Chai, Honbo is an independent homegrown burger resto that prides itself on using local produce. Their vegetables are harvested in Yuen Long and their bun is baked exactly 15 minutes away. Besides the usual beef burgers, Honbo is also quite experimental – try the soft shell crab (below) or XL scallop burger for something new. Honbo has a vegan burger too!

Bigger Burger

Shop 6, G/F, Kam Po Building, 42-50 Parkes Street, Jordan
If you want to go all out with your burgers, Bigger Burger is the way to go. Besides the traditional beef burger, you can also try their Black Truffle & Fried Egg or Thick Foie Gras ‘wich (below), both of which look absolutely humongous. Trash your diet completely with a side of their Crazy Chips too – we have our eyes on the classic Sour Cream and Bacon topping.

Dan Ryan’s

Shop 315, 3rd Level, Ocean Terminal, 3-27 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
Old timers will remember Dan Ryan’s for their giveaway balloons which always came with a free branded keychain. My house was crawling with them! Branded swag aside, this American resto has five different burgers for you to try: the Classic CheeseBurger, the Smokehouse (with smoked bacon & house BBQ sauce), the Texican (with fire roasted red chilis – see main featured photo above), the Delux Chili (with their signature chili – see cross-section below) and our favorite, the Napa (which is splashed with California Cabernet Sauvignon).

Morrison Cafe & Bar

284 Queens Road Central, Sheung Wan
You know you’re at an inclusive place when the burger menu has eight choices and six different fillings. If you’re eating out with vegan or vegetarian friends, try out Morrison Cafe Bar’s Falafel Burger, made with a homemade falafel patty, avocado, hummus, truffle paste and gherkins. Those that can have cheese and mayo will love the Veggie Burger (below), which is filled with a homemade potato & chickpea patty.
