Unlock the Secrets of Egypt

Pyramids, Mo Salah and koshary, that’s what Egypt is about! We love the deep history of Egypt, Mo Salah as a national treasure and of course who doesn’t love the carby heaven that is koshary, but what takes us time and time again to Egypt is something else.

This country of 80 million inhabitants have so much to offer and our favourite one is of the wet kind. Egypt has some of the most colourful and diverse marine wildlife in the world. Warm clear waters, colourful corals and all kind of fish species, makes it a dream for divers and snorkellers alike.

There are many coastal cities on the Red Sea side of Egypt from Dahab in Northern Sinai to Marsa Alam in the South and there are many diving spots around. Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada are the two most popular ones and rightly so as there is so much to do and see if you stay in either of these Red Sea Jewels.

Sharm El Sheikh

Naama Bay

Naama Bay is the heart and artery of Sharm El Sheikh or just Sharm as the locals call it. It’s a hotspot for hotels, restaurants, coffee shops and there plenty to do on the beach during the day. But it’s at night that Naama Bay comes to life, bars and lounges such as Little Buddha are the places to be. And there are lots of places to have Hubbly bubbly or shisha.

Ras Mohammed National Park Diving and Snorkelling

Located between the Suez Gulf and the Aqaba Gulf, Ras Mohammed’s diving spots cannot be described in words. The clearness of the water and variety of diving spots makes this protected area one of the words best for diving enthusiasts. With over 200 kids of coral reefs, dolphins, turtles and sharks (watch out!) this place is not just for divers, snorkellers get to see much of the beauty as well!

Coloured Canyon

Egypt’s answer to the Grand Canyon of the US, this canyon is gorgeously coloured and certainly one for the ‘gram! The coloured Canyon in Nuweiba is a stunning reward for those who take on the hike. But what a reward it is!

Hurghada

Historic tombs and temples of Luxor

Think ancient Egypt and you’ll think Giza Pyramids, and rightly so as they are impressive! But further down the Nile lies the ‘the world’s largest open-air museum’ in Luxor and Aswan.

Diving and Snorkelling (Giftun Island)

Welcome to paradise! Azur blue waters, white sandy beaches and only a short boat ride from Hurghada! The snorkelling and diving game is amazing here! You can snorkel all around Gitun Island, but if you want to chill on a sunbed and admire the beauty your best bet is either Mahmiya beach or Paradise beach where there is a little café selling drinks and light snacks.

Desert Jeep Expeditions & Quad Biking

Okay so this is a very touristy thing to do, but an adrenaline rush all the same! Sand, mountains, camels and speed and make for a fun morning!
