What Your Pajamas Say About You

Easy peasy for some, difficult to achieve for others, a good night sleep is generally considered a jolly good thing to get on a daily basis.  has made us pay attention to this activity we spend roughly  229,961 hours on. That’s nearly a third of our lifetimes, y’all! Sleeping properly will also set up the rest of your day, from your concentration levels to the state of your skin and hair.

A good mattress and pillows are paramount, but what you wear to bed has a say in how your night of sleep will develop. So let’s lift those covers and find out what’s behind your pajama choices!

Keeping It Classic

The good old two-piece button-up is a very respectable choice. Materials like cotton and silk are preferred, but what is the reason behind going for such a classic option? Well, turns out it’s not because of warmth, it’s about how visually pleasing matching pajamas are! We were familiar with the matchy-matchy phenomenon, it turns out the peace of mind we get from it is good for a restful night too.

Half-and-half

Initially this looks like a cliche widely used in all media to have an excuse for saucy images of bare-chested sleepy hunks and gorgeous ladies showing leg for miles. But truth be told, sometimes you just don’t need to be full-on when it comes to sleep-wear, and shedding half of it can help you regulate your circulation better, without loosing the extra warmth where needed!

Onesie

Onesies made a massive comeback about four years ago, and they are still playing strongly in the pajama game. For  the onesie might be the best choice (especially since Spring is taking a bit of persuasion this year). Onesies get extra points because they can double up as your costume for a fancy dress party.

Birthday Suit

Apparently 25% of the UK population decides to forego any sleeping clothes! That means one in every four Englishmen (or Englishwomen) sleeps in the buff. Let’s not waste time gasping and clutching our social decorum pearls, sleeping naked is actually very healthy! The lack of constraints means you have perfect blood circulation, which is brilliant for your heart and muscles, and increases your production of melatonin, an anti-aging hormone. Marilyn Monroe was right, guys.

Whatever your choice is, we hope you spent some quality time in your jammies over the weekend (and those of you still wearing them for , we sure envy you!). See you next time!
