Weekend Tips: Discover Islington

Home to Galaxy’s Hitchhiker Douglas Adams, the set of unforgettable films like About A Boy, and altogether pretty hip and classy area, Islington is a part of London that you must not only tick off your bucket list, you better make it part of your to-go-out guide! We guarantee you won’t run out of new cuisines, new ambiances, and the same old London charm! Examples to follow:

El Inca Plebeyo

Chef Pacheco’s food baby, El Inca Plebeyo is a treasure chest full of Ecuatorian cuisine, south-american superfood tapas and the best quality Argentinian beef. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are also available, and they are bursting with flavour, just as the other half of his menu!

Chinese Laundry Room

More tapas, this time showcasing the flavours of China’s Northern region. Chefs Peirang Gong and Tongtong Ren bring to the table the food scene they grew up with, so at the Chinese Laundry Room you get as close as it gets to a real Chinese family dinner. Breakfast and brunch are an absolute must!

London Cocktail Club

All of the LCC venues are pretty off the chain, but their Islington store is a super cool speakeasy bar, hidden behind a real NHS pharmacy sign. Behind the door awaits the LCC Pharmacy, all lit up in candlelight, and its impressive bar lined with rows of vintage medicine bottles full of intriguing (and certainly alcoholic) concoctions.

The ENTERTAINER is a great way to get to know this area a little bit more, with the extra nudge thanks to all our Buy One Get One Free offers! Bring your mates, bring your kids, bring your mamma, bring your boss! Essentially: bring it on!!

Happy weekend! Until the next one!
