Our Opinion: Urban Kitchen offers buffets throughout the week so head here if you’re feeling hungry and can’t decide what you want to eat. The selection is decent and the dessert station caught out eye immediately. We love a good live cooking display and at Urban Kitchen, there are plenty!
Top Tip: This isn’t a big party brunch, so this is probably best for visiting family or a more quiet affair.
TopTen Beauty Center – Al Dhafra Road

Our Opinion: This cute little salon does everything you need all in one trusty place. The therapists know what they’re doing and the ambience is very chilled. Take a friend with you for you some quality gossip time or go alone and totally relax.
Top Tip: Go prepared because their nail polish selection is extensive. Trust us!
Foodstop Cafe, Kidz Factory – Dalma Mall

Our Opinion: This is such a great thing to do, we wish we were kids again so we could join in on the action! The little ones can feel like top chefs for a day with aprons and cute little chef hats while choosing to make pizzas, milkshakes, brownies and even more delicious treats. Kids have all the fun these days!
Top Tip: Book it for a birthday party, your kids and their friends will love it!

Our Opinion: Namak is a hot topic in the capital, that’s for sure. Indian food is well sought after in the UAE and when a new place opens, people rush to try it, we included. Make sure you go with an empty rumbling stomach because you are going to want to order several dishes and a few starters too. You won’t be disappointed.
Top Tip: Don’t be afraid to ask the waiter to let the chef cook you something special. Be adventurous, try something new and be surprised by what they bring!
McGettigan’s – Al Raha Beach Hotel

Our Opinion: We all love an Irish bar, don’t we. They’re down to earth, good fun and more often than not serve great food. McGettigan’s has all of that and more with great interiors, good music and a lively crowd. There is never a bad time to go to McGettigan’s!
Top Tip: It can get lively in the evenings, especially on a weekend. So our tip is to actually go during a quieter time(unless throwing shapes is your thing of course, then go meet the crowds by all means!). Take a book or grab some friends and have a proper chin wag and a bite to eat.
House of Allure – Al Khalidiyah

Our Opinion: The chevron patterned floors and striking blue and white decor make for a quirky, chic salon. The staff are friendly and the salon feels calm which is perfect for when you need some ‘me time’.
Top Tip: Go for something bold! The nail techs are well-versed in nail art and if you show them a picture, you’ll walk away impressed at their skill and your sparkly new nails!
