Floral By Lima: Re-discover Peruvian Cuisine

Floral by LIMA is the creation of world-renowned Peruvian cuisine chef, Virgilio Martinez (ranked #4 in the World 50 Best List and #1 in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list) and his partners, Gabriel & José-Luis Gonzalez. And Virgilio’s longtime friend, Robert Ortiz, runs the kitchen.

Floral by LIMA is the sister restaurant of Michelin starred LIMA, located in Friztovia, London. This new addition to the LIMA family in Covent Garden has a light and airy feel by day and a cosy, candlelit vibe in the evening. Regional Peruvian dishes are served alongside traditional dishes like causa and ceviche.

Also, Floral by LIMA has a Basement Pisco Bar called ‘The Lost Alpaca’ which serves up some ‘banging’ cocktails along with a selection of Latin American wines, beers and spirits. This bar promises to add Latin America flair to your evening. Time Out referred to The Lost Alpaca as having “the best cocktails in London.” Faaaancy!

Peruvian food has a rich history.

Peruvian cuisine is a melting pot of different cultures which have come together to form an explosion of flavours and techniques. When European and Asian immigrants visited Latin America centuries ago, their ingredients and way of cooking intertwined with the local delicacies, creating what is known as Peruvian cuisine: one of the fastest growing cuisines in the world today.

Floral by LIMA has been awarded two AA Rosettes and a 5-star review from Time Out.
