Here’s where to have a lovely laid back lunch with Food Fest!

If you haven’t already heard the good news, Food Fest is in full swing and we’re offering both you and your dining partner of choice a starter, a main course and a dessert and you’ll only pay for one of you. We know…we’re just as excited as you!

It’s on from 10th September to the 10th October and we’re about to show you some nifty places to grab a long, lazy weekend lunch or if you’re tight on time, the perfect place to grab a laid back lunch on a budget.

Ostro

Location: Dusit D2 Kenz Hotel, Barsha Heights
Our Opinion: Escape from the city and retreat to a dining oasis where rich flavours from across the Mediterranean are blended with healthy gourmet food, fresh from their open kitchen. The space at Ostro is light and airy and you can easily spend hours with a laptop, sipping coffee and checking off your to-do list.
Top Tip: 
Order the chocolate bomb for dessert. It’s theatrical and delicious!

Wise Kwai

Our Opinion: Wise Kwai presents an energetic creative explosion of Thai street food and cinematic culture of a time gone by, mixed with immense spices, hand-picked fresh ingredients and colourful flavours of this majestic land. The decor is funky and psychedelic and brings a smile to your face no matter which direction you look. It’s quirky and cute and all things Thai that, if you’re a lover of South East Asia, will make your heart sing.
Top Tip: 
Duck curry, all the way. You won’t regret it. Oh and order a Thai tea, it’s fab.

SoHo Bar & Grill

Location: Century Village, Al Garhoud
Our Opinion: If you’re stuck for ideas, SoHo Bar & Grill is always a winner with simple, yet fabulous American classics. BBQ lovers will be salivating when they find out that wings, ribs and a plethora of smoked meat is on offer with all the trimmings. 
Top Tip: 
The atmosphere is laid back and quaint if you choose to sit outside by the ponds and ducks. It’s a great family place, trust us.

L’Occitane Café

Our Opinion: L’Occitane Cafe Dubai transports you to the South of France, the land that inspires L’Occitane. Ingredients from Provence offer a palette of aromas captured in the most delicious dishes. The all-day dining concept ensures you can indulge in all of your French favourites. Offering a multi-sensory journey, you can also delve into the latest launches from the skincare brand. 
Top Tip: 
Go when you have time to spare because you’ll want to wander and relax and enjoy testing out their amazing array of products.

Our Opinion: This new family-friendly curry house is the perfect pit-stop when spending the day at JBR. With seaside vibes, it’s a great place for a laid back lunch with a menu that suits everyone. The kids’ options are especially welcoming for busy families and it makes a nice addition to this popular Indian eatery, 
Top Tip: 
Please, please, please try the burrata butter chicken. It’s like no other curry dish we have tried. Literally, mouthwatering.
