Summer Solstice Cocktail Special

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Summer Solstice than with a fruity cocktail! Sit back, relax (pretend you’re on a beach) and sip the good stuff in some of our favourite bars.

Banana Tree

Alcohol drinkers and teetotals can both enjoy their refreshments at Banana Tree. Banana Tree is a Panasian restaurant, with many venues to choose from where you can have what’s possibly the best pad thai in London, and cocktails and mocktails galore. Our recent favourite is the Dirty Thai Guy, a highball cocktail with rum, Cointreau, freshly squeezed lime & nutmeg, finished with a crushed stick of lemongrass.

Zebrano

Enjoy a signature cocktail from Zebrano’s master mixologists. These guys know how to make a mean cocktail using London’s finest spirits from local distillers. Light snacks and small platters are available if you’re feeling peckish. Book your table at Zebrano for an after-dinner nightcap or pre-dinner drinks.

Brewhemia

Brewhemia (pronounced BREW-HEMIA, like bohemia but with the word ‘brew’) is located in the heart of Edinburgh, just a stone’s throw away from Waverly train station. This beer haven is spread over two floors and hosts five separate areas: The Beer Palace, Tap Room, Prosecco bar, CAFFE and The Boudoir. So, from breakfast until bedtime, you’ll find plenty to keep you occupied.

The Gin Vault

You say cocktails; we say gin! The Gin Vault is one of Birmingham’s hidden gems. Here, you can find over 100 different types of gin! And if you think that’s a lot, wait until you see their amazing cocktail menu. Celebrate the Summer Solstice with a refreshing grapefruit gin and tonic, enjoying the view from the canal.

The Parlour

Tucked away in West Bigford, The Parlour is the home of great cocktails and fabulous food. So, whether you’re looking for a quiet morning coffee, afternoon tea, or a night on the town, this is the spot. Cocktails range from the classics, like the Old Fashioned, to the darn right naughty (think Sex on the Beach); you won’t want to go anywhere else.

Jimmy’s NQ

Jimmy’s is a two story bar and live music venue in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter, owned and run by brothers Jimmy and George Craig – professional musicians, passionate about supporting new and local artists. Jimmy’s has a cool, relaxed vibe, and unlike some places, their cocktail prices won’t break the bank!

Happy Summer Solstice! Let’s drink to several weeks of sun, barbecues, beaches and tan lines – cheers!
