The Craft Beer Hubs You Can’t Miss

You don’t have to be a hoppy-loving hipster to appreciate a good ale. There’s plenty of ways to enjoy a beer on your own terms.

We caught up with London-based pub Crafty Fellas to talk about their one true love = craft beer, and after a chat and several sips we improved our pub speech considerably.

At Crafty Fellas, the goal is simple: to bring the craft beer revolution to the financial heart of London, the beautiful Beehive Passage, in the street food paradise that is Leadenhall Market.

Now, you don’t have to be in London to enjoy a good pint. Brewers and pubs around the country and upping their beer game. Here are a bunch of our favourites.

Gabbar

Craft beer (check), traditional Indian street food (check) chilled out atmosphere (check). If you’re in Leeds looking for something to satisfy your sweet spot, visit Gabbar.

Gabbar brings the great taste of Indian masala to the streets (and tables) of Leeds. Gabbar’s menu is inspired by the food served by Indian street hawkers, roadside cafés and railway canteens. It’s Indian tradition at it’s best – yum!

Buttermilk & Maple

Looking for a boozy brunch in Bristol? Buttermilk & Maple’s experimental kitchen serves wacky and wonderful dishes like buttermilk chicken, burgers and pizzas. The bar is stocked with an eclectic mix of the finest spirits, including over 30 bottles of premium tequila and bespoke cocktails and craft ales.

The Snooty Fox

Looking for a proper English pub with good grub and beer? The Snooty Fox in Tetbury is a quintessential English hideaway. From local ales, craft beers and fine wines to traditional English food favourites cooked with local produce, you won’t find anything to complain about at The Snooty Fox.

Fixed Wheel Brewery

Mad about cycling? Love beer? Then you’re in for a wheel treat! 😉

Fixed Wheel is a Blackheath based brewery open every Friday and Saturday. The brewery is child and dog-friendly and has somewhere to store your beloved bicycle. Pull up a chair and enjoy a freshly brewed pint or two. If beer isn’t your thing, Fixed Wheel stock a range of ciders too.

In the words of Fixed Wheel Brewery founder, Scott: “It’s all about brewing the best beer, with our ethos of ‘love what you do!’ We love to ride hard and at the end of the day enjoy a well-brewed beer.”
