EDITOR’S PICK

Johnny Custard Desserts Co: Main Course or Beverage

Estimated Savings: BHD3 or BHD2
Location: Shop 117B, Road 3803, Block 338, Yousif Ahmed Al Shirawi Avenue
Our Opinion: At Johnny Custard, they aim to put you into a sugar coma with a giant smile on your face. They do this by exciting your inner-child with their fusion of classic and modern desserts. We can’t speak highly enough of the giant, sometimes toppling, desserts and recommend to anyone in need of a pick-me-up and of course, a giant sugar hit.
Top Tip:
Don’t tackle anything on the menu alone. You’ll be sweating beads of sticky sugar if you do! (worth it though)

NEW OFFERS

Monsterwiches: Classic Hotdog, Classic Chicken Burger or Zinger Burger

Estimated Savings: BHD2
Location: Building 158, Road 86, Block 904, Riffa
Our Opinion: Monsterwiches! With a name like that you’d be mad not to give it a go. You’ll love every (very large) bite of these handcrafted burgers and sandwiches. Whether you’re ordering the classic or you want to switch it up with some of the more unusual pairings; we promise that there’s something here for everyone to sink their teeth into.
Top Tip:
The zinger burger is a personal favourite, so defo give that a go. Honestly, though, our biggest tip is don’t wear anything white and bring extra napkins. So messy and so good!

Teatro: Hops, Glass of House Grape or House Beverage

Estimated Savings: BHD4
Location: Downtown Rotana Hotel, Manama Centre
Our Opinion: Teatro Downtown offers an East-meets-West culinary concept with an amazing array of authentic dishes inspired by some of the most well-known and popular cuisines including Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Italian and South-East Asian. It really does have an eclectic menu but it’s all done superbly well and we find ourselves going back time and time again and never being disappointed.
Top Tip:
The bar at Teatro is a nice little spot to gather at pre or post-dinner. Grape is no joke at Teatro so ask your bartender for a recommendation and sit back and enjoy.

Top Tip:
Don’t skip on the engine wash. Just because you can’t see what’s under the hood, doesn’t mean it should be neglected!
