Here at the ENTERTAINER we love Mitch and Thuymi, the blogging duo behind the amazing Adventure Faktory. Known for their love of travelling, warm nature, and sociable attitude, these are two people we have absolutely loved getting to know. We decided to interview Thuymi, one-half of the adventurous pair so that you too could get to know her better.
Hi Thuymi, tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a proud Canadian from Quebec and a HUGE sports fan. I’ve always been the girl who plays lots of different sports. I’ve also been practising photography for more than 7 years and blogging for over 10 years now! Travelling has been my passion since I was born and I absolutely love living abroad. I lived in Asia (Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam) for 2 years. I’m currently in Dubai, but perhaps I’ll go to Hong Kong or Buenos Aires next. Or maybe Vietnam again? Only the future will tell!
How would you describe Dubai in 3 words?
Adventurous and a luxurious lifestyle! Exactly who we are! Man, I love Dubai!
Tell us about your favourite memory in Dubai.
When we went camping in the desert to celebrate New Years with our good friends.
You’ve visited some incredible places, but which country did you love the most?
Brasil, I’m very biased as we went for the Olympics, but wow what a country. If it wasn’t for the safety issues at the moment, Rio would have to be in the top 5 best cities in the world. What a place!
Where would you say your favourite short trip destination from Dubai is?
If you don’t want to get on a plane then definitely camping in the desert. For a short trip then it has to be Istanbul.
How about your best staycation in Dubai?

You travel all the time! What are your travelling tips?
Spend money only on experiences. Mitch and I barely spend money on anything and if I were to be purely honest, 100% of my salary goes towards saving for our trips.
Where’s next on your bucket list?
I crossed off many bucket list elements in our previous trip to South America, but my biggest dream is to climb to base camp, Mount Everest. There are so many others, too many to write, so take a look at this article from my blog: http://www.adventurefaktory.com/bucketlist-thuymi/
Alserkal Avenue in Al Quoz is a pure gem in Dubai. I love their coffee shops and amazing workspaces.
Where is your favourite place to use your ENTERTAINER?
There are way too many, but if I had to choose one then it would be Hoi An in the Shangri-La Hotel as I love Vietnamese food.
