We Chat With The Dubai Bloggers, She Said She Said

We’ve known about She Said, She Said for a long time now. Here at the ENTERTAINER we often search their Instagram and blog for the best places in Dubai to eat and explore. After meeting Nancy and Namrata in person I can honestly say they are two of the loveliest, genuine, and funny ladies I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Get to know these two beautiful ladies a little better with our interview.

Nancy, how would you describe Namrata in 3 words?

Funny, fun and fabulous!

Namrata, how would you describe Nancy in 3 words?

Ambitious, strong and confident!

What are your favourite memories of Dubai?

Namrata: When the weather was nice and cool my parents would take me and my sister to have a delicious picnic at the different parks around Dubai. Safa Park was my favourite!

Nancy: Going for long drives with my parents to watch the boat races at Mina Seyahi Beach. 20 years ago it used to be the ‘end of Dubai’ and located even further than ‘Chicago Beach’. For those that don’t know, ‘Chicago Beach’ is now Madinat Jumeirah. None of the hotels existed at the time and it was a public beach. The annual races had a carnival with concerts and games for kids. I loved jumping around the bouncy castle with my brother.

Your favourite staycation from Dubai?

Nancy: Banyan Tree Al Wadi, Ras Al Khaimah.

We know you both love to eat out. What are your favourite restaurants in Dubai?

Namrata: The Maine Oyster Bar & Grill, Ravi Restaurant, and Fibber Magee’s.

Nancy: I can’t pick one as there are too many to choose from! But if I HAD to, it would be Rodeo Grill & Bar in the Al Bustan Rotana, and Elia in the Majestic Hotel Tower Dubai. Some of my new favourites include Mythos, The Maine Oyster Bar & Grill, and Craft Cafe.

What are you favourite Activities?

Namrata: Yoga and singing. I often find myself involuntarily singing whilst practising yoga!

Nancy: Eating!

Tell us about any hidden gems in Dubai you love?

Namrata: I don’t know how hidden this place is but it’s definitely a gem! Creekside Cafe in Bur Dubai.

Nancy: It’s got to be Khan Murjan in Wafi. Everyone knows about it but we don’t visit as often as we should. They make the best ‘kent’, which is a shot of coffee with lots of Coffee-Mate and sugar. If you order that and a shisha you’ll be transported to a souk in old Damascus.

What are your top tips for people that have just moved to Dubai?

Namrata: Enjoy the winter as much as you possibly can. Leave procrastination for summer.

Nancy: Get lost in old Dubai, in the alleys of Bastakiya, and take an abra ride across the creek before it’s all gone.

Who do you love to follow on Instagram?

Namrata:@sukainarajabali and @thelauracarlson.

Nancy:@foodienfabulous and @straightupbananas.

Where is your favourite place to use your ENTERTAINER?

Namrata: All of the fine dining restaurants.

Nancy: I love using the app for spas in Dubai. My favourite is the Mandara Spa in The H Hotel.

Challenge someone you love to follow on social media to have an interview with us.

We challenge @melangeDubai who is a chef and blogger based here in Dubai.
