There are many things we love about Belgium. The winding cobbled streets full of cosy shops selling delicious home-made chocolates, street vendors tempting you as you stroll by with warm waffles, crisp ice-cold beer, and fresh Moules Frites just waiting to be devoured. So, it was no great surprise that we fell hook, line and sinker in love with Belgo, a gorgeous little Belgian restaurant in Covent Garden.
Now, you may have heard of this place. Having first opened their doors in 1992, this lovely chain has been bringing various locations across the UK a slice of Belgian heaven for 25 years now. And for that, we’re eternally grateful. Where else would we get delicious bowls of fresh mussels from the Shetland Islands and lobsters full of flavour without having to pop on the Eurostar?
Of course, no visit would be complete without sampling the extensive selection of Belgian beers. The pilsner and wheat Belgo beer available on tap and served ice-cold was our favourite choice, but if you are feeling extra fancy, just ask the lovely bar staff and they’ll find a blend just perfect for you. But don’t just take our word for it, check out the place for yourselves.
Remember you too could have a taste of Belgian with your 2 for 1 meal, cocktail or draught offers at Belgo with your ENTERTAINER. You can thank us in beer…
