We Celebrate National Day At Aseelah

It’s nearly National day! As well as getting a day off (can I get a high-five!) it’s the perfect time to celebrate everything we love about the UAE. So, we thought it was a good excuse to celebrate by getting a few of our favourite bloggers together for a slap up Emirate meal. And what better place to go to than Aseelah. This hidden gem located in the heart of old Dubai in the Radisson Blu Hotel literally means “One belonging to great heritage and family». And what a perfect way to explain this place.

We were invited by Chef Rabeh Adel Amer who took us on a journey through Emirate history and explained which spices are at the very heart of Emirate food. Think saffron, ginger, cardamom, thyme and turmeric. However, Aseelah does things a little differently. They put a modern delicious twist on all of their dishes, combining the old and new. So modern in fact we even tried camel burgers!

Take a look at our lovely night and see if you can spot your favourite Dubai bloggers!

A huge thank you to all those that joined us to celebrate National Day. And a massive thank you to Aseelah for a truly unique experience. We will be back, especially for the Lugaimat and the cream cheese and date bread! Both were delicious!

Remember you can enjoy 2 for 1 main courses with your ENTERTAINER so go and give Aseelah a try. You’ll love it just as much as us!
