We arrived at Pier 7 in Dubai Marina laden down with our camera gear and heavy lights with a nervous excitement in our tummies as this was the first video in our series to meet the faces behind the places.
However, as soon as we entered Fümé all our feelings of apprehension vanished. With the sounds of the Arctic Monkeys playing in the background and the quirky industrial interior – from the exposed ceiling and concrete walls to the retro chairs, old wooden tables and the unique pieces of artwork, we knew we were in for a treat. Here he telling us what he loves so much about Fume’s design and little details.
Then we met Jacques. The most laid back and friendly guy anyone could wish to meet. It was clear on and off camera that Jacques has a real passion for what he does. Not only is he effortlessly smooth in explaining the concept behind Fümé but he also made us feel right at home which is everything Fümé is about.
