Waves lapping at your feet, the burnt orange sun slowly sinking into the skyline, boats bobbing along the turquoise water, and seagulls swooping high above you. Ok, so I may be getting all poetic on you but there’s something very relaxing about the seaside. And whilst we may live in a concrete jungle we’re also surrounded by the glistening Arabian Gulf meaning we’re never too far away from a shoreline meal. And that my friends must be celebrated. Here are some lovely beach-side restaurants for you to really relax at.
Sea Fu
Wow, wow, wow. Just a few words that spring to mind when you enter Sea Fu. Located on the Palm Jumeirah, Sea Fu is a chic and relaxing beachfront restaurant which serves modern Asian seafood in the most stunning location. Everything about the ambience, decor and spectacular views over the sea makes this the ultimate venue to sip your drink and soak in the sunset. Bliss.
Barasti
If you haven’t been to the iconic Barasti then you need to get out more. That may seem a tad harsh (I’m sorry!) but Barasti has been one of the city’s most vibrant and popular bars for as long as I can remember. Boasting a vast new outdoor seating area and one of the biggest live sports screens, it’s simply the best place to watch sport, enjoy a cool drink, and chat with your friends. All to the background noise of crashing waves. Now get yourselves down there!
Poco Loco
A bit different from your average beach-side restaurant in Dubai, think bold prints, graffiti covered walls and exposed ceilings, combined with cosy bright textures and cactuses (lots of cactuses!). A true style mismatch which is very playful, eye-catching and very Instagram worthy! Expect Latin American dishes on the menu from places such as Peru, Mexico and Venezuela, as well as a live entertainment throughout the week. You’ll be transported to the streets of Latin America rather than JBR.
Sun&
With wrap around sunset views of The Palm Jumeirah, this restaurant has serious bragging rights. With delicious dishes such as paella, fresh mussels, and burrata salad you’ll feel like you’ve taken a journey to the sunny shores of the Mediterranean. Combine that with the best chilled out vibe makes Sun& one of the friendliest and most relaxing spots in Dubai.
Nasimi Beach
Chill out on your very own private cabana or laze about on the squishy sofas. Wherever you decide to sit you know Nasimi Beach will have you sorted with a laid back atmosphere and culinary delights ranging from Sushi and Sashimi to Asian and Mediterranean favourites. Just remember to pack your biggest sunglasses, your highest pair of heels, and your trendiest swimsuit. This one is for the cool kids.
Beachcombers
If you fancy a laid back meal where you can feel the sand between your toes, enjoy tempting Pan-Asian dishes, and soak in the panoramic views of the beach with the iconic Burj Al Arab as your focus point then look no further than Beachcombers. There’s even a designated kid’s area meaning you can truly unwind.
The Tap House
The Tap House situated on the brand new Club Vista Mare on The Palm Jumeirah offers a wide variety of hops from around the world, modern cuisine, and a truly relaxed atmosphere. The cool industrial interiors, chilled ambience and relaxed beach terrace make The Tap House the perfect hangout for everyone. Whether it’s a night out with friends, relaxed sundowner by the beach, or catching the latest game on the big screen, The Tap House is the perfect venue.
BRGR
Lounging on your sunlounger and reading your latest novel can be hungry work. So, how does demolishing a delicious burger whilst watching the kite surfers swoop in the sky sound? Pretty fantastic to me. Head for a delicious burger at the appropriately named BRGR where flip-flops and beachy hair are mandatory.
PierChic
Although not in the ENTERTAINER I had to mention the well renowned PierChic. Set at the end of the pier on the beach in front of Al Qasr Hotel overlooking the Arabian Sea with unrivalled views of the iconic Burj Al Arab, Pierchic is a high-end Mediterranean seafood restaurant which screams date night.
So go on, make the most of the gorgeous weather and treat yourself to a gorgeous meal in beautiful surroundings. Why wouldn’t you when all of these restaurants (except Pierchic) are in your ENTERTAINER. I know I know, we are amazing!
