Cape Town School Holidays – What To Do?

Cape Town School holidays are both a blessing and a curse. Why do I say that, you ask? Well, because you’re the one who will have to think of one million things for your very active kids to do, everyday. And, you wanna be the fun mom (or cool auntie, gran, uncle, nanny – whoever babysits the kids), trust me.

So, how do you become the favourite? It’s actually quite simple (and affordable when using the ENTERTAINER app) if you make sure that you tick off all of the below during the Cape Town school holidays.

For the multitask-er |

Ok, so this one might just be the more convenient for you, because you can go shopping in the V&A Waterfront while the kids run and scream their lungs out. For an entire hour! Drop them off at Playdate Superpark while you go do grocery shopping. Then, put them on the Cape Wheel while you grab a coffee with a friend. You can then go get some Haagen-Dazs ice cream, and end off the day with either Art Jamming or Cape Town Helicopters while you watch that movie you’ve been dying to watch. Voila.

Note: You have to remember that you also deserve to win in life every now and then. How? Simply check this article out to see how you can stand a chance to WIN BIG, girl.

For the active bunch |

You might not be able to take a day (or 3) off from work to keep your kids busy during the Cape Town school holidays and have hyperactive kids (I feel for ya). Solution: go drop them of at any of the following fun activities – I promise they’ll sleep like babies. They’ll run around the whole day at Soccer School Of Excellence (or Rugby or Cricket), they’ll jump up and down at RUSH, they’ll swim for their lives at Simply Swimming, drive around like an F1 driver at Kenilworth Karting / Century Karting, and sneak up on their friends like investigators at SAWT Paintball.

For the social butterflies |

You might not be aware of this yet, but there are most probably some sort of drop-off play centre super close to your home or work. How convenient, right? Also, your kiddies might just come home with a new bestie (or three). Cute! There’s Gazoome Play Centre in Milnerton, Kids Shack in Wynberg, the PlayStation in Retreat, Playzone Indoor Playpark in Durbanville and Bugz Playark in Kraaifontein – just to name a few.

For the Earth lovers |

It’s very important to keep your kids busy with things they’ll actually enjoy. So, if your kiddie loves animals, why don’t you take him/her to the Vredenheim Big Cat Park, Cheetah Outreach, or La Bonheur Crocodile Farm? If they are into the environment, let them enjoy an activity in nature, like, Into The Blue, or Acrobranch.

Lastly, always remember to have a good lunch date with your kid too. Catch two birds with one stone (we don’t endorse killing of any kind) when visiting Rhebokskloof Wine Estate. Your kid can play, and you can have lunch, AND do a bit of wine tasting. What more do you want?

Do you know what the best part of it all is? All of the activities above are buy one get one FREE!

You’re welcome!

Enjoy x
