Hong Kong Museum of History

A list-topper for history buffs, the Hong Kong Museum of History packs over 400 million years of archaeology, history, ethnography, and natural histories into a 7,000 square metre space. Thematic exhibitions (such as “The Legend of Hong Kong Toys,” below, running until 15 May 2017) are also held at different times.

Temple Street Night Market

Sample the wares in the stalls, take in a Chinese Opera show, visit a fortune teller, or feast on delicious delights from dai pa dongs (traditional street food restaurants). Temple Street is home to the city’s last remaining night market – certainly, a living treasure.

Snoopy’s World

Walk amongst over 60 colourful, oversized statues from Charles M. Schulz’s famous Peanuts cartoon strip! This outdoor park boasts five themed areas: Baseball Playground, School Plaza, Peanuts Boulevard, Snoopy Wedding House, and Canoe Ride.

Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens

Your Instagram will gag; in every corner lies a photo-op. Founded in 1871 and located on the northern slope of Victoria Peak, this picturesque park in the heart of the city is home to the Children’s Playground, Aviaries, Greenhouse, Fountain Terrace Garden, and some resident mammals and reptiles.

Walk the Golden Mile
